KRAUSE, John, a Representative from Lebanon County; born, December 17, 1796; tool manufacturer; contractor; elected as an Anti-Mason to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1834-1835 and 1835-1836 terms; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1838); appointed, chief clerk, Pennsylvania Auditor General’s office (1842-1845); died, December 27, 1865 in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.
