HENDERSON, Dr. Matthew, a Representative from Lancaster County; born, circa 1768; physician; elected as a Federalist to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1820-1821 and 1821-1822 terms; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1822-1826); died, April 27, 1835 in Salisbury Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred in Saint John’s Episcopal Church Cemetery, Compass, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
