REIGART, Emanuel C., Jr., a Representative from Lancaster County; born, April 30, 1796 in Lancaster County, Pa.; studied law under Amos Ellmaker; attorney (1822-1869); surveyor; elected as an Anti-Mason to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1834-1835 term; elected, delegate, Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention (1837-1838); unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1845); unsuccessful campaign, Governor of Pennsylvania (1847); died, December 20, 1869 in Lancaster, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Woodward Hill Cemetery, Lancaster, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
