PATTERSON, Samuel Smith, a Representative from Lancaster County; born, April 29, 1804; farmer; elected as an Anti-Mason to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1834-1835 and 1835-1836 terms; merchant; banker; died, January 11, 1883 in Sterling, Whiteside County, Illinois; interred, Riverside Cemetery, Sterling, Whiteside County, Illinois.
