MOSHER, Jeremiah, a Representative from Lancaster County; born, January 2, 1755 in Roxbury, Suffolk County, Ma.; volunteer minute man (1774-1775, Revolutionary War); sergeant, 16th Massachusetts Regiment, Continental Army (1777-1780, Revolutionary War); brigadier general; blacksmith; elected, coroner, Lancaster County (1800-1803, 1806-1815); unsuccessful campaign, coroner (1803); elected as a Federalist to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1815-1816 and 1818-1819 terms; died, March 8, 1830 in Lancaster, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Washington Boro Cemetery, Washington Boro, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
