ERDMAN, Jacob, a Representative from Lehigh County; born, February 22, 1801 in Coopersburg, Lehigh County, Pa.; farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1834-1835 term; reelected to the House for the 1836-1837 and 1837-1838 terms; elected, United States Congress (1845-1847); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to Congress (1846); elected, associate judge, Lehigh County (1866-1867); died, July 20, 1867 in Coopersburg, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Paul’s Blue Church Cemetery, Coopersburg, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
