SMITH, Lockwood L., Jr., a Representative from Bradford and Tioga Counties; born, 1790 in Ulster Township, Luzerne (now Bradford) County, Pa.; farmer; appointed, sheriff, Tioga County (1830-1833); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1833-1834 and 1834-1835 terms; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Adam (defunct), Bradford County (1837-1842); died, 1855 in Towanda, McLean County, Illinois.
