MILLER, Abraham, a Representative from Philadelphia City; born, December 21, 1779 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; proprietor, fire brick and pottery business; elected as a Federalist to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1827-1828 and 1829-1830 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1828); reelected to the House as a National Republican for the 1832-1833, 1833-1834 and 1834-1835 terms; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1835-1839); died, June 30, 1858 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
