JAMES, George, a Representative from Bedford County; born, circa 1781; farmer; elected, commissioner, Bedford County (1819, 1835); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1826-1827 term; reelected to the House for the 1831-1832 term; died, August 2, 1864 in Rainsburg, Bedford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Woods Church Cemetery, Colerain Township, Bedford County, Pennsylvania.
