HANNA, James, a Representative from Cambria and Somerset Counties; born, November 1, 1770 in Ireland; brigade inspector, Cambria County, Pennsylvania Militia (1814, War of 1812); unsuccessful campaign, sheriff, Somerset County (1807); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1808-1809, 1809-1810, 1810-1811, 1811-1812 and 1812-1813 terms; reelected to the House for the 1816-1817 and 1817-1818 terms; died, September 16, 1819 in Milford, Somerset County, Pennsylvania; interred, Union Cemetery, New Centerville, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
