CHAMBERLAIN, Joseph, a Representative from Cambria and Somerset Counties; born, June 26, 1801 in Vermont; merchant; rail road contractor; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1836-1837 and 1837-1838 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1838-1839 term; died, December 6, 1864 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio; interred, Lake View Cemetery, Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
