LINDSAY, John, a Representative from Delaware County; first lieutenant, Delaware County Troop, Pennsylvania Militia (1834); justice of the peace, Marple Township, Newtown Township and Haverford Township (1794-1800); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1830-1831 term, not a candidate for reelection; editor, Upland Union; died, August 26, 1854 in Haverford Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
