BUSHFIELD, Samuel, a Representative from Westmoreland County; born, circa 1767 in Ireland; tavern owner; engaged, agriculture; unsuccessful campaign, commissioner, Westmoreland County (1815); elected, commissioner, Westmoreland County (1820-1822); elected, delegate, Democratic State Convention (1824); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a Special Election on February 13, 1829; Sworn-In, February 23, 1829 to serve the remaining 1828-1829 term; reelected to the House for the 1829-1830 term; died, October 6, 1832 in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hoge Memorial Burial Ground, Washington, Washington County, Pennsylvania
