LONG, James, a Representative from Westmoreland County; born, 1778 in County Londonderry, Ireland; private, Pennsylvania Militia (War of 1812); farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1828-1829 term; resigned from the House, January 27, 1829; died, December 22, 1864 in Derry, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Old Salem Church Cemetery, Derry, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
