McQUAID, Thomas, a Representative from Westmoreland County; born, August of 1782 in Chester County, Pa.; colonel, 2nd Regiment, Pennsylvania Militia (1812-1813, War of 1812); innkeeper; engaged, farming; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1827-1828 and 1829-1830 terms; engaged, road construction (1834); died, April 23, 1862 in Salem, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Delmont Presbyterian Cemetery, Delmont, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
