SULLIVAN, Moses, a Representative from Allegheny and Butler Counties; born, October 19, 1786 in Allegheny County, Pa.; private, 138th Company, Pennsylvania Milita (War of 1812); publisher and editor, Butler Centinel (1820-1830); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1822-1823, 1823-1824 and 1824-1825 term; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1825-1833); president, Pennsylvania Canal Commission (1836-1838); died, May 21, 1839 in Butler County, Pennsylvania; interred, North Side Cemetery, Butler, Butler County, Pennsylvania.
