MACLAY, William, a Representative from Franklin County; born, March 20, 1803 in Fannettsburg, Franklin County, Pa.; merchant; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1823-1824 term; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Carrick (now Fannettsburg) (1838-1843); died, February 20, 1849 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
