FRENCH, Andrew, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, August 19, 1761 in Abington Township, Montgomery County, Pa.; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1815); elected as a Democratic-Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1816-1817 term; reelected to the House as an Independent Republican for the 1817-1818 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1818); died, August 16, 1832 in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
