SIMPSON, Henry, a Representative from Philadelphia City; born, 1790 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; colonel, Pennsylvania Militia; importer and merchant; alderman; elected, inspector of elections, Walnut Ward, Philadelphia (1817-1822, 1834); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1828-1829 and 1830-1831 terms; appraiser, Port of Philadelphia; died, March 25, 1868 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Old Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church Burial Ground, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
