HUTCHINSON / HUTCHISON, Joseph, a Representative from Northumberland County; born, circa 1763 in Ireland; captain, Revolutionary War; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1804, 1816, 1818, 1821); elected as a Democratic Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1814-1815 and 1815-1816 terms; reelected to the House for the 1817-1818 term; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1819); died, May 5, 1837 in Turbut Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Warrior Run Burial Ground, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
