GREENOUGH, Ebenezer, a Representative from Northumberland County; born, December 11, 1783 in Haverhill, Essex County, Ma.; graduated, Harvard University, 1804; principal, Wilkes Barre Academy (1804-1806); lawyer (1808-1847); commissioner, Sunbury Canal Company; commissioner, Danville and Pottsville Railroad Company; elected as an Anti-Mason to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1831-1832 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House; commissioner, Northern Central Railway Company; died, December 25, 1847 in Sunbury, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Sunbury Cemetery, Sunbury, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
