DIMOCK, Asa, Jr., a Representative from Susquehanna County; born, April 5, 1795 in Pennsylvania; colonel, 136th Regiment, Pennsylvania Militia; appointed, prothonotary and clerk of courts, Susquehanna County (1821-1836); elected, council, Montrose (1825-1826); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1836-1837 and 1837-1838 terms; elected, delegate, Democratic State Convention (1841, 1844); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1842-1844); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania Canal Commissioner (1849); cashier, Pennsylvania State Treasury Department (1850-1855); died, December 23, 1864 in Pulaski, Brown County, Wisconsin; interred, Lyons Street Cemetery, Herrick Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.
