DRUMHELLER, Jacob, a Representative from Luzerne and Susquehanna Counties; born, February 18, 1790 in Berks County, Pa.; captain, Sugarloaf Rifle Company, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania Militia (1822); surveyor; farmer; proprietor, tavern (1809-1836); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1822-1823, 1823-1824 and 1824-1825 term; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Conyngham (now Sybertsville) (1826-1828, 1838-1840); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1828-1832); elected, delegate, Luzerne County Democratic Convention (1833); co-owner, Hazelton Coal Company (1836-1857); justice of the peace, Sugar Loaf Township (1840-1855); died, June 11, 1857 in Conyngham, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Conyngham Union Cemetery, Conyngham, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
