CALVIN, Joshua B., a Representative from Bucks County; born, 1778 in Hunterdon County, NJ; private, Capt. Samuel Wilson’s Company, Pennsylvania Militia (1814, War of 1812); farmer; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1819, 1820); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1821-1822, 1822-1823, 1823-1824 and 1824-1825 terms; elected, delegate, Democratic County Convention (1841); died, July 17, 1857 in Nockamixon Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Milford Christian Churchyard, Milford, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.
