WILLIAMS, Henry Jonathan, a Representative from Philadelphia City; born, September 26, 1791 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; graduated, Dartmouth College; lieutenant, United States Army (War of 1812); attorney; elected, city council, Philadelphia; secretary, Pennsylvania Institution for the Deaf and Dumb; elected as a Federalist to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1822-1823 and 1823-1824 terns; engaged, real estate; died, March 12, 1879 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
