CURTIS, Carlton Brandaga, a Representative from Jefferson, McKean and Warren Counties; born, December 17, 1811 in Madison County, NY; colonel, Company I, 58th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); lawyer (1834-1883); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1836-1837 and 1837-1838 terms; elected, United States Congress (1851-1855, 1873-1875); engaged, Dunkirk & Venango Railroad; died, March 17, 1883 in Erie, Erie County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oakland Cemetery, Warren, Warren County, Pennsylvania.
