SLAGLE, Michael, a Representative from Adams County; born, March 16, 1779 in Hanover, York County, Pa.; farmer; elected, commissioner, Adams County (1801, 1803); elected as a Federalist to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1816-1817 and 1817-1818 terms; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1824); died, August 18, 1835 in Berwick Township, York County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Olivet, Hanover, York County, Pennsylvania.
