BLYTHE, Ezra, a Representative from Adams County; born, November 24, 1780 in York County, Pa.; merchant; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Fairfield, Adams County (1811-1827); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1827-1828 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1828-1829 term; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1829-1833); died, August 25, 1844 in Fairfield, Adams County, Pennsylvania; interred, Lower Marsh Creek Presbyterian Cemetery, Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
