RENSHAW, James, a Representative from Adams County; born, February 2, 1790 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; sergeant, One Hundred and Thirteenth Regiment, Pennsylvania Militia (1814, War of 1812); coppersmith; engaged, merchandising; unsuccessful campaign, auditor, Adams County (1822); elected as an Anti-Mason to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1832-1833 term; elected, commissioner, Adams County (1837); tax collector, Germany Township; died, April 13, 1864 in Littlestown, Adams County, Pennsylvania; interred, Christ United Church of Christ Cemetery, Union Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
