MAYES, La’Tasha D., a Representative from Allegheny County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; B.S., business administration, University of Pittsburgh, 2003; M.S., public policy and management, Heinz School of Carnegie Mellon University, 2005; past president and chief executive officer, New Voices for Reproductive Choices (2004-2022); appointed, Pennsylvania Governor’s Advisory Commission on African American Affairs; unsuccessful campaign, city council, Pittsburgh (2015); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 2023 term.
