PAINTER, Jacob, a Representative from Philadelphia County; clothier; elected, inspector of elections, Kensington (1837); elected, delegate, Philadelphia Democratic County Convention (1845); seated as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1852 term as result of a contested election, January 31, 1852; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1853 term; died, February of 1856 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Monument Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania (defunct); removed to Lawnview Cemetery, Rockledge, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
