LLOYD, Peter Zachary, a Clerk from Philadelphia County; born, 1749 in Philadelphia County, Pa.; major, Musketry Battalion, United States Army (1776; Revolutionary War); captain, Sixth Company, Second Battalion, Philadelphia Militia (1786); merchant; lawyer; secretary, The Committee of Inspection and Observation of Philadelphia (1775-1776); elected, Chief Clerk, Pennsylvania General Assembly (November 20, 1781-October 25, 1784; October 26, 1786-December 30, 1791, resigned); died, October 3, 1801 in West Bradford Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
