STIMMEL, Reginald Pierson, a Clerk from Lehigh County; born, March 9, 1907 in Reading, Berks County, Pa.; attended, public schools of Allentown; attended, American Commercial School; attended, Extension School of Cost Accounting; served, United States Army (1943-1945, World War II); partner, Stimmel and Gaul, general insurance business; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican for the 1947 term; reelected to the House for the 1949, 1951, 1953, 1957, 1959 and 1961 terms; appointed, Flood Control Commission (1947-1948); appointed, Joint Legislative Committee on Group Insurance (1947-1948); unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the House for the 1955 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1963 term; elected, Chief Clerk, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (January 1, 1963-January 5, 1965); employed, Republican Caucus, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (Minority Staff Administrator, 1965-1966, 1969-1972; Special Assistant to Minority Leader, 1975-1978); Secretary of the House, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1967-1968, 1973-1974); died, August 22, 1983 in Sarasota, Sarasota County, Florida; interred, Grandview Cemetery, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
