CRAWFORD, Dr. James Woodburn, a Representative from Juniata and Union Counties; born, December 10, 1823 in Mifflin County (now Juniata County), Pa.; physician (1848-1857); elected, school director, Mifflintown (1851); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1855 term, not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1856 term; died, April 7, 1861 in New Smyrna Beach, Volusia County, Florida; interred, Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown, Juniata County, Pennsylvania.
