Alexander, a Representative of Philadelphia County; born, February 17, 1824 in Philadelphia County, Pa.; lawyer; elected, assessor, Philadelphia County (1852-1853); elected as a Whig/American to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1854; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1855); died, February 27, 1894 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; removed to West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
