CRAIG, Hugh, a Representative from Washington County; born, March 3, 1795 in Canton Township, Washington County, Pa.; justice of the peace; school director; elected, commissioner, Washington County (1842-1844); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1852 term; member, Washington County Temperance Party (1852); died, November 18, 1854 in Claysville, Washington County, Pennsylvania; interred, Purviance Cemetery, Claysville, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
