IRELAND, William F., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, circa 1806; internal auditor, Philadelphia County; elected, commissioner, Northern Liberties (now Philadelphia) (1841-1842); elected, school director, Philadelphia (1841-1842); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1844 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1845 term; member, Philadelphia Board of Health; died, July 2, 1851 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
