FISHER, J. Coleman, a Representative from Philadelphia City; lawyer; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1838-1839 and 1840 terms; secretary, Dock Ward Whigs, Philadelphia; elected, school director, Philadelphia (1842); clerk to the select council, Philadelphia (1842); secretary of the executive committee, San Francisco Land Association (1872-1875); partner, The Walnut Street Bridge Company (1879).
