CRABB, William Agustus, a Representative from Philadelphia City; born, circa 1812 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; merchant; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1837-1838 and 1838-1839 terms; reelected to the House for the 1840, 1841 and 1842 terms; elected, Speaker (1841); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1843-1856); died, November 9, 1861 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; removed to Woodlands Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
