BOONE, William F., a Representative from Philadelphia City; born, circa 1800 in Lancaster County, Pa.; lawyer; deputy attorney general, Court of Quarter Sessions and Oyer and Terminer, Lancaster (1836-1838); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1842 term; unsuccessful campaign, prothonotary, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Philadelphia (1845); elected, Inspector of the County Prison, Philadelphia (1846); presidential appointee, United States Consul to Nicaragua (1851-1853); judge, United States District Court of New Mexico (1858-1860); died, January 11, 1860 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Union Wesleyan Church Burial Ground, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
