BEALE, John, a Representative from Juniata and Union Counties; born, December 23, 1798 in Academia, Mifflin County (now Juniata County), Pa.; farmer; elected, sheriff, Mifflin County (1821); engaged, textile carding; commissioner, Mifflin Bridge Company (1828); elected, sheriff, Juniata County (1835-1837); appointed, associate judge, Juniata County (1842-1847); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1853 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1854 term; died, January 7, 1867 in Academia, Juniata County, Pennsylvania; interred, Lower Tuscarora Church and Cemetery, Beale Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania.
