WEIRICK, Samuel, a Representative of Juniata and Union Counties; born, September 20, 1807 in Union County, Pa.; clerk of commissioners, Union County (1832-1834); lawyer (1834-1869); appointed, deputy attorney general, Union County (1836-1839); elected, delegate, State Anti-Masonic Convention (1837); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1848 and 1849 terms; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1857); elected, District Attorney, Snyder County (1861-1866); died, February 9, 1869 in Middleburg, Snyder County, Pennsylvania; interred, New Berlin Cemetery, New Berlin, Union County, Pennsylvania.
