HAMLIN, Ephraim Warren, a Representative from Pike and Wayne Counties; born, February 15, 1803 in Salem Township, Wayne County, Pa.; store clerk; hatter; merchant; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Bethany Township (1829 and 1840-1851); appointed, deputy chief treasurer, Wayne County (1832-1835); director, Honesdale Bank (1836-1884); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1838-1839 term; reelected to the House for the 1840 term; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1852-1854); farmer; died, April 7, 1884 in Bethany, Wayne County, Pennsylvania.
