LUCKENBACH, Charles Augustus, a Representative from Monroe and Northampton Counties; born, February 23, 1806 in Pennsylvania; elected, burgess, Bethlehem (1845); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1848 and 1849 terms; president, First National Bank; director, Easton Bank (1851); founder and director, Thomas Iron Company (1854); president, Thomas Iron Company (1855-1864); postmaster, United States Postal Service, Bethlehem (1856-1860); died, June 25, 1882 in Bethlehem, Northampton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Nisky Hill Cemetery, Bethlehem, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
