BUSH, Dr. Philip M., a Representative from Monroe and Northampton Counties; born, April 3, 1811 in Stroud Township, Monroe County, Pa.; attended, Jefferson College, 1833-1834; physician; elected, auditor, Monroe County (1844); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1847 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1848 term; unsuccessful campaign, associate judge, Monroe County (1871); director, Stroudsburg Bank (1877); died, April 20, 1890 in Monroe County, Pennsylvania; interred, Middle Smithfield Presbyterian Burying Ground, Middle Smithfield Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania.
