KERR, Joseph, a Representative from Monroe and Northampton Counties; born, 1793 in Scotland; salesman; superintendent, slate quarry, New Jersey; farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1842 and 1843 terms; president, Monroe County Democratic Convention (1853); died, March 9, 1867 in Stroudsburg, Monroe County, Pennsylvania; interred, Dansbury Cemetery, Stroudsburg, Monroe County, Pennsylvania.
