COOLBAUGH, Moses Wills, a Representative from Monroe and Northampton Counties; born, May 20, 1799 in Smithfield Township, Monroe County, Pa.; farmer; elected, associate judge, Monroe County (1836-1855); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1838-1839 and 1840 term; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Coolbaugh (1842); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1843); school director, Coolbaugh (1849); revenue commissioner, 22nd Judicial District (1851); died, February 5, 1866 in Coolbaugh, Monroe County, Pennsylvania; interred, Middle Smithfield Presbyterian Burial Ground, Smithfield Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania.
