WILSON, Thomas, a Representative from Mercer County; born, December 27, 1789 in Cumberland County, Pa.; private, Capt. John Bergstresser’s Company, Pennsylvania Militia (1814, War of 1812); farmer; elected, supervisor, Neshannock Township, Mercer County (now Lawrence County) (1826); proprietor, hotel (1834); proprietor, saddle and harness shop; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1842 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1843 term; gubernatorial appointee, associate judge, Mercer County (1845-1848); died, May 21, 1860 in Neshannock Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania; interred, Neshannock Presbyterian Cemetery, New Wilmington, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.
