RAWLINS, John, a Representative from Lancaster County; born, circa 1795; merchant; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Rawlinsville, Pa. (1844-1849); elected, justice of the peace, Martic Township, Pa. (1849); engaged, real estate; elected, executive committee, Martic Township (1852); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1854 term; unsuccessful campaign, associate judge, Lancaster County (1856).
