Von NIEDA, Philip Jacob, a Representative from Lancaster County; born, October 24, 1782; lawyer; vice president, Democratic Anti-Mason Committee, Lancaster County (1838); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1841 and 1842 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1843 term; died, May 2, 1847 in Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Muddy Creek Cemetery, Denver, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
